letting go
the latest trend
a fool I seem to be
when these two hollow words
do not adorn my chatter box
busy busy busy
used to fit me better
but now seems out of date
goals
more fleeting than acetone
constantly prove of yesterday
unless
they are
golden coins
I alone am pulling the cart
nobody pulls along side me
they’re in pursuit
of more frivolous goals
surely
this cannot remain
you must let go
they say
collapse before the cart
I do count my blessings
not because burnout struck me
but of status gained
as now they count me in
busy busy busy
is truly out of date
